“Happy & Gay” is a new work from animation filmmaker, Lorelei Pepi. The short is now released and starting its festival circuit life.

Follow the gang as they ramble through town, singing and dancing in this cartoon musical misadventure! Created as a revisionist history document, issues of stereotype and representation are the fodder for re-making the cartoon as it never could have been.

First DVD sale!

A professor at the Univ of Sussex UK wants my film in a course curriculum, so I’ve made my first official DVD sale. And of course, as things go, I am having to do a “home job” because the DVD needs a bit more work on it. I didn’t want to do a big print quite yet., so I ran out and bought an Epson printer, and here’s the DVD disc result. It looks quite nice!

Vancouver International Women in Film Festival

Got my laurels! The screening date for H&G at the VIWIF Fest is Friday, March 6 at 9:30PM. I’ll screen along with another short before the final feature of the evening. There’s a jazz reception (!) preceding my screening block, which is in partnership with a documentary on women in jazz that screens earlier in the evening. Should be a really fun evening!
